Château La Croizille
Who doesn't love a good hearty red from Bordeaux's right bank. Those soft, full flavoured tones from the Merlot grape warms your soul.
La Croizille is such a wine and is it has been under the ownership of the De-Schepper family since 1996. There is ambition here and determination which shows in the quality of their wine. Having built a new and very modern winery, they are now investing in Oeno Tourism for which they are already receiving accolades (International Best of Wine Tourism Award 2015).
Good wines take time to develop; great wines need a lifetime. After 15 years of investment in the vineyard the promise is now showing. A limited production of just 12,000 bottles from 50 year old vines which have been growing on the same superb terroir as their illustrious neighbours, Chateau Pavie, La Mondotte and Le Tetre Roteboeuf.
