Boris Champy and Sirugue at La Goccia
We are glad to invite you to a lunch-tasting event on Thursday 9th of May.
We will taste a selection of wines from two of our favourite Burgundy Domaines:
Boris Champy and Robert Sirugue.
Champy is a perfect example of how a talented and driven winemaker doesn’t need a bundle of Grand Crus to make a name for himself.
The “soul” of his range lies in his various Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Beaune taken to such a high level that you will start doubting the validity of Burgundy’s hierarchy.
Sirugue is a small family run estate based in Vosne-Romanée.
The recent winemaking choices have given the wines a more transparent, lively feel and a nice lightening effect.
Their Bourgogne Côte-d’Or Pinot Noir is a perfect house Burgundy, and their Vosne-Romanée is second to none for quality and value.
You will have the chance to enjoy the wines in the charming and vibrant atmosphere of La Goccia Restaurant,
which offers Petersham Nurseries’ interpretation of the Italian ‘cicchetti’.
We will meet at La Goccia at 12.30 pm, 2 Floral St, London WC2E 9FB.
