Lunch with Diego Morra

Asset Wines Logo

We are excited to invite you to the “Asset Wines – Lunch with Diego Morra” on Wednesday 21st of February.

The winery is in Verduno, Piemonte and the family has been in the wine business for over 70 years; three generations of winegrowers, and since 2006 Diego started bottling the wine under his own label.

He is gaining more recognition year after year, and critics’ points are very high.

Over lunch the winemaker will be showing multiple vintages of his Monvigliero, one of Barolo’s most elegant crus and Morra’s most prized wine.

The vineyard has a triple exposure, which means that Diego can select the best grapes depending on the vintage conditions.

Along with Monvigliero we will have multiple vintages of Barolo Zinzasco, a blend of the estate sites in the communes of La Morra and Verduno.

We will also taste his Pelaverga di Verduno, a rare indigenous red-berried grape, peppery and bright.

On the day you will have the chance to meet Francesca and Diego and taste their outstanding wines paired with a selection of Italian tapas-like dishes from La Goccia Restaurant, part of the Petersham Nurseries group.

We will meet at La Goccia at 1 pm, 2 Floral St, London WC2E 9FB.

Places are limited so please let me know if you’d like to join me and the team for the “Asset Wines – Lunch with Diego Morra”.

Please inform us of any allergies or dietary requirements if you decide to attend.
