Palladino winery is situated in Serralunga d’Alba, the 11 hectares of vineyards, cultivated with native grapes produce four versions of Barolo: a Comune di Serralunga, and three single vineyards, Parafada, Ornato and San Bernardo, the last is a riserva.

Originally from Guarene, Piero Palladino spent his youth in Alba, where he studied at the Istituto Enologico. After finding a job as an oenologist with a wine merchant in Biella, he moved there immediately after the war, without breaking his ties with Alba and the Langhe: in 1974 Piero bought what is now Azienda Vinicola Palladino and entrusted the management to his cousin Maurilio, who later became a partner.

For many years, Maurilio Palladino, together with his wife Domenica, managed the company, inspired by a principle of tradition and respect of the characteristics of the land. Today, his niece Veronica, Alessandro, and Margherita, Piero’s niece, are assisting him in running the winery. A union of forces that represents the new generation.

The style of Palladino wines draws inspiration from tradition, with Barolo vinification exclusively in large barrels, long fermentation at controlled temperatures and malolactic fermentation in concrete tanks.
