Tasting Notes
Robert Parker 92-94
Barthod produced just one barrel of the 2018 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Sentiers, and it is showing brilliantly, offering up notes of cherries and berries complemented by complex nuances of spices, smoked meats and soil. Medium to full-bodied, succulent and lively, it’s quite fine-boned and mineral. Though Les Sentiers can produce quite powerful wines, I suspect the small size of this cuvee which naturally limits extraction results in an especially elegant interpretation of the site.
