The 2023 Mercurey La Framboisiere, omitted from my tasting at the Domaine, presents an earthy, black-fruited, tobacco-tinged bouquet with a slight chlorophyll tincture. The medium-bodied palate features rustic tannins, yet remains fresh and sapid, with some attenuation on the finish. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but you’ll finish the bottle.
