Tasting Notes
Neal Martin 92-94
The 2025 Chateau du Tertre was picked 8 to 22 September and matured in 40% new oak. It is cohesive and focused on the nose, plenty of graphite-infused black fruit that nudges it stylistically towards Pauillac. Fine delineation. The palate is medium-bodied with, again, quite a Pauillac-like entry thanks to that graphite edge. Well defined with satisfying length, this is a classy du Tertre, one of the best I have tasted from barrel.
Anticipated maturity: 2031-2050
Antonio Galloni 90-92
The 2025 du Tertre is powerful and quite dense, but also shows more finesse than I have seen in some time. Floral overtones immediately convey elegance. Hints of blue-toned fruit, lavender, spice and sage develop over time. Polished, supple contours frame it all effortlessly. Tasted two times.
Anticipated maturity: 2033-2045
