Tasting Notes
Neal Martin 90-92
The 2025 Enclos Tourmaline is very backward on the nose, with blackberry and blueberry fruit, a touch of violet, but it does not quite deliver the charm of the Feytit-Clinet tasted just before. The palate is medium-bodied, with grainy tannins, quite structured and dense, but I need to see more precision by the time it is in bottle. It needs to be more Pomerol than Saint-Emilion (please).
Anticipated maturity: 2031-2048
Antonio Galloni 92-94
The 2025 Enclos Tourmaline is a selection of the best plots the Kwok family owns in Pomerol. Dark and ample, with tremendous power, the 2025 captures all the natural richness of the year and also remains remarkably balanced. Dark-toned fruit, espresso, chocolate, new leather and licorice build nicely. Enclos Tourmaline is fermented in barrel, an approach that works quite well here.
Anticipated maturity: 2030-2045
