The whispers have started: could Il Marroneto 2021 potentially outshine the legendary 2019 vintage? The 2021 is possibly the finest vintage to date from this iconic estate.
2021 was defined by extreme drought and heat, yet Il Marroneto’s special site in Madonna delle Grazie, located on the cooler, high-altitude northern side, managed to completely even out these characteristics. The result is an astonishing set of Brunellos that maintain purity, focus, and intensity.
Critics’ notes are still to be published for the 2021s, but we recommend to secure your allocation earlier as volume is minuscule.
