2021 Vietti

The 2021 growing season in Piedmont was nigh on perfect, thanks to a cold and snowy winter, ensuring good water reserves in the soil going into growing season. With the rest of the year being relatively healthy and dry with a warm, sunny September the temperamental Nebbiolo was primed for exceptional complexity, with dense tannins but perfect balancing acidity in the wines which is the hallmark of great Barolo. Wines with great structure and intensity. Firm, present tannins that are perfectly integrated in the fruit-structure of the wines and extraordinary expressive fresh fruit characteristics in the nose. Potentially an outstanding vintage for aging.
