In a vintage defined by heat and complexity, Elio Grasso produced some of the most compelling wines of the vintage.

While many producers struggled with a compressed growing cycle, Gianluca used his technical skill to elevate the natural character of his fruit — achieving something of a viticultural miracle thanks to his deep understanding of the Monforte d’Alba terroir.

“This is a positively stellar set of wines from Elio Grasso. The 2022 Barolos are terrific” — Antonio Galloni

This year’s release also features the flagship Runcot Riserva 2020, a wine that undergoes extended aging in French oak barrels. The light touch of wood is never intrusive, and it exalts the wine especially as it integrates further with cellaring.
